Wax Factor Singapore - Only With The Best and Experienced Therapists

If you are always on a hunt of good deals but not compromising the quality of a Brazilian waxing service, you should try Wax Factor.

As you can observe after 2 years, I am now blogging for a new salon for waxing. It is because that I am not satisfied by the service of others.

Okay. Wax Factor is located at Orchard Central. Found their deal at Facebook ads and it was SGD60 for two sessions. My first and second session went very fast and not painful at all. It left my skin smooth and my skin didn’t form any nasty in-grown. Thumbs-up for that.

Uhmm, do you know that some salon will charge you an additional of around S$10-20 if you want the backside to be waxed too? Well, in Wax Factor that SGD60 charge is inclusive also the behind part. You will not be definitely caught off guard.

They have only 2 rooms that is totally lit up. In that case, you can see any debris of waxes or any nasty stuff. In Wax Factor, the room is neat! If you are the one who are easily irritated by people’s suggestions, don’t worry their staffs are not pushy!

Their appointment booking using their Facebook page is so easy to use! Wax Factor is totally recommendable.

1500 CALORIE BURN CHALLENGE IN 3 DAYS | Exercise, Workouts, HIIT, and Food | Lose Weight in 3 Days

Actually I am aiming to challenge Shane, Abbey and Chat to lose 10,000 calories in a day but when I told that idea to Abbey, he frantically rejected the idea. He suggested to a thousand. But to make it challenging I raised the bar to 1,500 calories.

My usual calories for an hour of exercise is 200. On that, I need to exercise almost 8 hours to achieve it. OMG! (Ano ba itong pinasok ko?) haha. On the first and second day, I am sad to say that I didin’t achieve it. My mind is literally cursing me for that decision haha. But on the third day and las hurrah of the Burn 1,500 calorie challenge! I fnally did it! Haha.

From morning, Abbey and I ran/walk for about 10km just to achieve around 400. Direct from that first activity we went to the gym and burned around 600 there. Third activity is burpees and 10min walk exercise at the balcony that made reached the 1,500.

That is F*** hard! But I really do lose weight on that burn 1500 calories challenge. Will I do it again? Yes! I will. Maybe one weekend in 2021. This is a good challenge for you and your friends this coming new year. JUST DO IT!

Singapore on Foot : Rediscovering Little Red Dot

This is my 10th year here in Singapore and I will confess that I didn’t YET visited all places of interest here in Little Red Dot! Like the famous murals... just visited it last month. (You can watch our less than 2minute clip at this link.)

But I am proud to say that my husband and I completed the 36KM route of NParks Coast-to-Coast trails. That was last 2019.

This year most of the leisurely activities were closed for months (COVID era) and for us to seize the moment we have tried to visit the parks, Sembawang, Waterway, Punggol Park, Sungei Buloh, Fort Canning to Marina Bay and longest walk/run for this year that we have done is from Upper Serangoon to Merlion Park which is 13.18km.

Truly, you can explore Singapore by foot with an ease. They have a dedicated pathways for pedestrians and some of it are well covered either by the trees, buildings or by roofed walkways. You can download apps like Singapore Maps for you to pre-plan your trails. What is more rewarding? Strava and Health 365 which gives badges and vouchers respectively.

Oh! We are all waiting for the LumiHealth app. LumiHealth is a partnership between Apple and Singapore’s Health Promotion Board to encourage the Singapore residents to be active and achieve a good night sleep. The benefit? eVouchers worth up to S$380.

Singapore is all known to be a city-state which only has 725.7 km2 and kuddos to NParks for their initiative to their Park Connectors Projects and Health Promotion Board for the health initiative apps.

This is SPARTA! I am a SPARTAN!

2020 is a year of uncertainty. I left my job and the weirdest thing all I want is to stay safe at home with my husband.
On my spare time last May, I took some free courses from IBM, YouTube and Udemy. Well, I just don’t want to waste my time on nonsense.
While waiting at the bus stop, I stumbled on SPARTA. With no hesitations, I registered right there and then and immediately finished my existing courses for me to start my journey to SPARTA.
Why I focus on SPARTA?
This year 2020, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) announced that there’s shortage of highly skilled professionals of 38-40 million and to address this problem, they launced the Project DARE (Data Analytics Raising Employment). Responding in to that concern, the Philippines, lead by DOST (Department of Sciece and Technology) developed the SPARTA (Smarter Philippines Through R&D, Training and Adoption) program.
DOST partners with Development Academy of the Philippines, Analytics Association of the Philippines and CourseBank targeting 30,000 scholars not only to be trained but also intends to retain and provide jobs for the scholars.
Yes! DOST! To be part of Philippines’ DOST is a prestigious moment for me.

Do not be fooled with the course. It is DOST. As scholars, you are expected to give the best out of you. It reminds me of my college days (professors giving the introduction but they are expecting that you will give the full report by next day), it gives me sleepless nights and I am exhausting all resources. As in all, not only internet but also the knowledge from my friends, nephews and nieces. It is challenging and exciting. Thrilling! My brain is churning! Woootwooot!
I finished three subjects as of now and can’t wait to finish the whole program. 🙂 Imagine, your classmates now are your future colleagues after graduating.
Mabuhay SPARTA Scholars!

Your Vision Must Be Bigger Than Your Job!

I once managed a team of men. Yes men! All were men. And not just only men, but all are Licensed Customs Broker in Philippines. Each of us have different companies to supervise and be held accounted for but never did I know that there’s a standard in managing a project or stakeholders.

As I have stumbled upon PMI, well, not PMI colleges that we know in Philippines but PMI (Project Management Institute) - the world’s leading association for project, program or portfolio management. This 50+ year old organization built the standard, tools, resources and even community to give certifications for professionals in management industry.
So why I have chosen to take their Project Management for Beginners? Well of course, this is a good way for me to be exposed on bits of information in importance, influence and role of Project Manager. That will be a good knowledge once I get on board on future company.
Why act as a simple employee if you can contribute your knowledge in project/program management? :)

Who loves diet?... More accurately, Who LOVES One Meal a Day (OMAD Diet)?

I am a full time housewife for the second time since Abbey and I get married. And because of that and the COVID-19 safety restrictions here Singapore, we didn’t reached our step, movement and exercise goals. So we totally ditched out the idea of exercising even at our balcony for a month.

Last week of May, I noticed that I am getting fatter and fatter. I felt that walking is already a chore! So I decided to have a one-hour exercise EVERY DAY. But 2 weeks past, no improvement! SH*T! As they say 20% exercise 80% kitchen. I targeted the kitchen then.

Since I failed on a 7-day waster fasting, I told Abbey that it will be easier for me if we do the One Meal a Day Diet. He approved and to make it more fun, I asked my friends too! Haha! Damay-damay na to!

Our One Meal A Day (OMAD DIET) have a twist. Instead of 23:1 we will need to be fasted for 24hours and 1 hour eating window.
*No Rice
*No Softdrinks
*No Chips
For seven (7) days!

All the days of the week, I felt fine except 3rd day. Maybe that is the time when my body is looking where to get sugars. I felt what I have felt on my 30th hour of water fasting. Chills all over the body, headache and want to vomit. I was about to give-up but I know I will be the GREATEST LOSER if I’ll accept my own defeat. So I still proceed. 4th day, nah! My body coped up and my brain surrendered in persuading me to stop. Ha!

After the OMAD 7 Day Challenge, I lost 1.5 inch of waistline. My thighs become smaller and I feel lighter now. Feel cleaner inside.

Oh! While in that 7-Day OMAD, we only got a chance to exercise for 5 days. Jog and some HIIT thingy.
My hubby and friends are happy for this kind of experience. Actually they are up now for more challenges like this! Yeahbah! A good bonding for all of us.

As you have heard on the video. Abbey told me that he wants OMAD as our lifestyle now. So I hope, I will achieve the body we are eyeing to!

Good luck on your OMAD. Watch the video to see our joy, struggles and tips for you.

SeedIn Philippines: Katiwa-tiwala ba?

(Kim Chiu ikaw ba yan?)
Anyways, we’re here for SEEDIN PH.

I first encountered SeedIn on sa Singapore Fintech 2018. Have chatted them and told us that they met NEM Philippines. Second encounter is when Terence of VK5 Solutions invited us on their event last 2019. Still, ayaw ko pa din bitawan ang pera to invest. Haha!

Abbey read SEEDIN PH and SEEDIN SG’s papers and records and finally he decided to invest last December. Sabi ko aantayin ko na muna lumabas ang investment nya, nung nakita ko na binalik ang invested money at may kahit papanong tubo, tsaka ako nag-invest.
Invested Php111,179.68 (bat may butal? yan yung dating tinubo ni hubby, isinama nya) and tumubo ng Php1,686.22 (less the withholding tax) for 2 months.

Then, after ko makita ang pay-out, I asked Abbey na withdraw it papuntang bank account. In just two days nasa account na namin..

Should I trust them again for another investment? Yes. Why?
     1. They scrutinise the papers, collaterals and projects of creditors.
     2. They have short term projects for investors. Around 2-6 months.
     3. They have presence not only Philippines but also in here Singapore.
     4. They deduct and remit the withholding tax for me. Worry free.

FAQ:
     1. What is the minimum, how long the is duration and how much is the interest - It all depends on the project.
     2. Do they issue a contract? - Yes. You can download the contract from your dashboard
     3. How risky? - Very risky. That is why they are getting collaterals from the creditors. SeedIn has a set of legal mechanisms and contingency plans in place to mitigate such risks.

Kung di pa din kayo sure (which is normal lang yan) better to dip first your finger.. REGISTER to SEEDIN first and magmasid-masid..

If you think, nakatulong ang blog na ito, you can use my husband’s referral code : https://www.seedinph.tech/register?ref=1982 and register as Retail/Qualified Investor.

Thank you and more investments to come sa ating lahat! May HE bless us all!

Working From Home: The New Normal

As the Singapore Circuit breaker will end on June 1, some of the employees may still be given the opportunity to work from home (well like my husband). But do you know that many companies still prefer to their employees to go to the office every working day even during Circuit Breaker period.

Reasons why companies can't adopt the NEW NORM:
     1. Companies are lacking of business continuity plan. Company is not standardised. All information and systems needed to effectively run the business remotely is not present for management nor workers.

     2. Productivity. The employees were not trusted that they will do their jobs efficiently if the nobody overlooks them.

I know, there are pros and cons on working from home but many people (based on survey) prefers to continue telecommuting because they find it more productive and they have more time to spend with their family.

So if you are one of the employees who were advised by their companies to continue working from home, be glad and grateful. It means that your company have an effective infrastructure to support this kind of arrangement and they fully trust that you can deploy and you have established trust to deliver your work efficiently.

Qualities of a Good Husband (Do I deserve love?)

In this COVID-19 situation, it gives me more time to think, be more grateful and conscious on everything I have now. While reminiscing Abbey's second wedding proposal, a sudden spark of idea flashes.

Abbey's SECOND Wedding Proposal | All plans were scrapped due to Singapore's Circuit Breaker

I want to blog the things that my husband continues to do that makes me fall in love over and over.
1. He greets me good morning with a hug.
2. He prepares my packed lunch.
3. He always kiss me goodbye and always remind me to take care and double check my job.
4. On my lunchtime, he will send me texts asking how’s my food.
5. He sends me flowers.
6. He sends snacks whenever I feel unwell.
7. He calls just to sigh off his anxieties.
8. Rings my phone just to say he misses me.
9. He asks how’s my day.
10. He is always there to help in household chores.
11. He cooks yummy food!
12. He is so “malambing”.
13. So silly!
14. Loves to snuggle.
15. He watches my favourite series with me.
16. Always aim for a good health.
17. Adds and upgrades skills.
18. Loves his job.
19. He loves my family too.
20. He respects my opinions.
21. He compromises.
22. Supportive on my passions and decisions.
23. Trustworthy.
24. A good provider.
25. Always loves me.

For 9 years of marriage, I am still in euphoria. I am still questioning myself, how a monstrous and broken lady deserves a man like Abbey. Almost everyday I will stare at him and can’t believe that I have him and I have this blessed life. The fortress I built for my own suddenly became a paradise for both for me and Abbey.

Yes! Good men still exist because I married one of them.

9 years is just a breeze! This easy, fun and blessed married life is not because of me and Abbey alone. It is because of the prayers of people supporting this union.

Indeed! Happy Ever After do exists! ;)

Hair Makeover at Number76 Singapore

Video for Hair Makeover at Number76 Singapore

How wonderful it is that your husband saved and put up a budget for your salon?

My natural hair is wavy and messy and I like it to be permed. For past few years, Abbey always requesting me that he like my hair to be straight.. really straight. As promised, this year, we went to Number76 salon in Orchard Gateway to grant his wish.

I know it will be expensive but Abbey keep on reminding me a yucky procedure I witnessed last time when I accompanied one of colleague at chain of salons in Lucky Plaza. The stylist brushing a man I can still vividly see in my mind huge flakes of dandruff falling out of the head. And the same brush was used to another customer. *Fainting now** Yes! You will get what you pay for. Even the treatments will be expensive, I rather be at Number76.

I let Abbey talked to Jerry(stylist). I never heard how much everything will be but I know that it will be over Abbey’s budget. Unexpectedly, Jerry gave us 20% discount. Yeyyyy!

What are the treatments?
Hair Cut: SGD56-00
Jerry just cut-off my very dry hair. 2inches from the tip.

Rebond: SGD276.00
I thought rebonding will be a tedious procedure. Like I need to sit there for 4hours just to straighten it. As explained by stylist, the new technique only takes one (1) application and will last for an hour and half (inclusive of iron)

Hair Color: SGD165.00
I am shocked that coloring can be done after the rebonding. Usually, it is impossible. Oh well, with Number76 it is possible. Bye gray hairs!

Ultrasonic Iron Treatment: SGD148
this is for Abbey to make sure that my hair will be still lustrous aftet all chemicals applied on my head. Unlike other treatments that need to use a hot oil or red light, this treatment used ultrasonic iron. Another first time of my life! Haha!

For almost a month now sporting this straight, soft and shiny hair, I can say that it is worth of every dollar. Will definitely be back with them Number76!
