Ten (10) Years

Looking back of what I am 10-years ago, early 2008, I am the Wilma that breathes fire. I do not believe in love and I do not trust any man. A decade ago, you crushed that belief and found a little girl crying inside me. Fragile but dauntless. You carefully freed me on my own jail. 

As they say, everybody come to your life for a reason. You came to mine and you brought hope, the love, joy and eternal friendship. You always take an extra mile to meet me. Your deep understanding is impeccable. You’re sensitive on my needs. You make it so easy to be happy. We laugh at our problems and learned from it. 

Thank you my forever boyfriend for everything.  I am so blessed to have you darling! On our 10th year of togetherness! 

The Truth about CANCER

Cancer is quite active on Abbey's family genes and aside getting hospitalisation and critical illness insurance, Abbey and I seek ways to avoid and prevent it. We liked a facebook page The Truth About Cancer and bit by bit we are learning.

Below are few things:

1. Cancer cells do not love oxygen. No wonder the stressed people are getting more likely to have a chance of getting a cancer. Why? When you are stressed, your body only gives you a short-breath! So inhale-exhale and kill those killer cells. Meditate! 

There are some oxygen therapy available that patients can consider other than chemo. 

2. Cancer cells are deeply inlove with sugar. Yeah this is not a new thing but more and more studies proves that sugar fuels cancer cells. So take away those high in glucose, specially the processed fruit juices. 

3. We need to heighten up our immune system. Take that vitamin C rich food! Drink a hot lemon juice, sprinkle some cayenne pepper and drop of honey. Lemon will give you a vitamin C plus it balances the pH level of our body. 

4. 80% of our immune system lies on our large intestine. If we love our immune system, we should worry if we feel bloated and we need to keep an eye on our bowels. Keep that good bacteria healthy living in our gut! 

5. Fast! Let your own body eat those bad cells to re-generate new one! It not only benefit you physically, mentally but also spiritually! Do you know that fasting have a religious affiliation too? Pray while you fast and ask what your heart desires. 

6. Move.. A Lot! I mean exercise! You perspire, it means toxins will be rushing out from your body. Not only that, when your heart starts pumping, it will increase your oxygen intake! Two birds in one stone! 

7. Sun! Get some sunlight! Do not prevent yourself from getting enough Vitamin D! 

8. Do not deprive yourself with sleep. Do not think that sleeping is a waste of time. It is the time when your body heals and brain take out toxins. 

9. Know your products. Do you know that lotions, hair coloring, facial masks and almost all of what we use are made of toxic products! Give yourself a break! Do not use it everyday! Talking about toxins! Do not smoke! 

10. Hydration. Water! 

11. Massages and reflexology will unclog the lymphatic system. 

Those are the few things we've learned and implementing on our daily lives! For better and healthier us.

Where do I got started my brazilian waxing journery? Well, it all started with Lay Bare.

The first session is still vivid. I have a high pain tolerance that time maybe because of the stress of lovelife and job I have that time, so the cold wax really works for me. And that is the only brazilian wax I know that is affordable to redeem and I have nothing to compare to. 

After, around 8 years visiting only hot wax salons, I made my way to LayBare again and now I know the difference. With cold honey wax, it is more painful, because..maybe, the pores were close and it gives more shocking sting of pain. For only 3 days, I saw some hairs already popping out. Oh, and there are 4 ingrown bumps I saw.

Tita Duty!!! 

Ok! Together with my nephew and nieces, we went to National Museum of Natural History. This is the newly renovated museum in the City of Manila. We went there to see what is the buzz and we were surprised of what we witnessed inside. 

Inside is like a wet market! The noise is all over and you will definitely cannot concentrate to what you are reading. It is annoyingly noisy! It seems that the youth went there just to take photo and talk non-stop with their friends.

Ok, to the museum. The architecture, specially the space where Lolong's replica rests is white and astonishing. The crisscrossing and elevator in the middle is a good idea. The direct sunlight brings natural light in and reflects nicely throughout the museum. 

They have Lolong's skeletons hanging at one room. They have a video of the beauty of Philippine marine life. Most of the collection is taxidermy birds. The washroom is clean and well maintained. 

Looking forward to see more at the museum on the next few years. For sure, it will be developed and be aligned with intenational museums!

Let Me LOVE You A Little More!

Nanay's air-conditioned room. 

1:52 AM (24 June 2018) and my Nanay is still awake. Murmuring words that I cannot understand. Crying but I do not know where the pain is coming from. I held her hand, arranged her foot pillow and rubbed my palm on her head to pacify her. But those actions brought no difference. 

While looking at her, I can't help but cry. All the memories flashed back onto me. 

All the happy memories and the lessons I have learnt from her. How she helped people and her "pusong mamon" to "pusong bato" moment. I remembered the time my father carried me and Nanay was running in the middle of the night to go to my "suking" doctor. 

While staring at her hand, I asked her, "Nanay, ilang milyon binilang ng kamay na ito?". She just stared at me. But all I can do is cry. The next statement blurted from my mouth are words of gratefulness. "Nanay, salamat po sa lahat ng pagod mo sa akin. Salamat sa lahat ng pasenya at pagmamahal. Salamat sa lahat pag-aalaga. Nay, kulang pa ang ginagawa ko ngayon para mapantayan lahat ng pagod mo para sa amin na pamilya mo."

Last few nights, every move she makes, made me jumped out of my bed just to check her. I always have a “heart attack”. But I do not mind. I told myself, this is my time to watch you sleep. Watch you snore and keep on check if your diaper is full or not. This is my only time to return the favor, but sometimes I felt that it is not enough. 

Alzheimer's is a painful disease not only for the patient but also to the children specially for the spouse. Be careful with your brain. They need proper rest and nutrition. 

Just now, I turned off the light and waiting and hoping that this action will make her feel sleepy or better. 

... Around 3AM she fell asleep.

5 Signs You Should Quit Your Job

Yep! It is time to cut the misery off and quit your job! 

Now, on this day counts my 3rd month of sabbatical leave. 

Because I am free and open for communication right now, haha, people are sending me congratulatory messages that I have an opportunity to rest for a while. But others just ranted away! Of course, I listen to what they say. And now I am compiling it. This will help you to DECIDE why you should leave your job NOW! 

Below are some of the reasons you are burnt out or everyday you ask yourself why you are still staying on that company. 

1. You feel lightheaded every time you're on your way to office.

- You feel the stress welcoming you every time you punch-in. Your blood pressure strikes on top of your head. Aha! You are starting to be physically sick because of the anxiety inside the office. 

2. Your personality transforms automatically when you open the glass door! 

- From always smile to always grumpy! You become defensive and a lot of F*** word accommodating your brain and spilling it out from your mouth. Lunch break and 5PM bells, you will come back to your best and original you!

3. No growth. 

-Some people felt stuck because there is no development happening for their skills or knowledge. You should quit now if your department head wants you to sit there and do your job and no plans to have an improvement for you. 

4. Disrespect is all over the room. 

-Your boss disrespects you and you give a hell back to him. Your manager do not show empathy on you. Your supervisors always point finger. You do not feel secured and appreciated. Shouting is the "only" communication you know to be heard. 

5. Politics is in all time high! 

-Gossiping is your favorite dessert on your tea time and your boss plays favoritism. 

Please have respect and dignity to yourself.
Just quit!

Integrity in the Midst of Instability

Blockchain/bitcoin was built entirely because of Satoshi Nakamoto's frustration in our banking system and the society that evolves on it. Now that his advocacy is a wild craze, people from all walks of life are jumping in to join the party. Yes all! Even the bad guys!

Cryptonauts expected that there will be chaos and another massive suicide watch list but Coincheck surprised them all with their decision. Koichiro Wada announced early this week that they will pay off the platform users who were affected by that incident. That is the first time in the entire history of blockchain that someone stood up to return their missing coins. That's integrity! Thanks Coincheck.

Then we go to questioning NEM's decision.
