Singapore Maritime Week 2012

I practiced my profession as a licensed customs broker in my homeland, Philippines, and our country is known for graft and corruption in the Bureau of Customs. I tried to change but I proved that was not a possible task to do. One man is not enough to do the change I want it to be. I am easily fed-up to that phase of my career so I decided to leave the port and be one of the brain inside one company. I supervised men, yes men, but clean and new brokers were also eaten up by the money-first mentality. This is not lower down ego and status of Philippines' BOC but this is the loud scream of pain that I felt for our country.

When I got here in Singapore, I was astounded. Finally I see the reality that I was hoping before for Philippines' port and customs process. Firstly I am culture shocked due to the fast-phase of every days work. But every now and then I see the difference, I saw the reason why many investors came here to put up their trading company and how kind the people behind the ports operations and Singapore Customs.

The import and export processing here is as easy as 1-2-3. No need to go to customs house just to file documents. No need to go the bank just to pay duties and taxes and most specially you can track your containers because all trailers and prime movers have their own GPS devices. Safe, fast as one click from our PCs and specially no red-tape. I am happy for Singapore and I am hoping in the near future this will happen too to Philippines' BOC.

Now that is Maritime Week were celebrated I am so glad when I saw the exhibit at VivoCity. The more I read facts on every zone the more I am thankful that I am here and experiencing the way that I want to work and be part of the import-export trading of a country. More containers to come MPA! Congratulations and thank you!

LEADERS InSolution Collagen Lifting Skin Renewal Mask

Mask after mask, I am fallen in love with masks. Haha! After this Coenzyme q10 Essence Mask that made all the dirt inside my face come out, I am quite hesitant to put on another one. Why? Because it may cause another batch of pimples on my forehead. I had waited almost one week for all the zits to subside.

Second thoughts filled up my mind but I need to try to prove what the others says about Korea's #1 Mask... The Leaders InSolution - Collagen Lifting Skin Renewal Mask. Oh, thanks Cossy for supplying a sample one for me. Apologies this is so late review haha!

Putting on, and noticed the following:
1. The mask is quite large enough to cover my full face up to my lower chin (plus point).
2. It really sticks on my face so even it was on my face I can do some task, no wasted time lying on a bed.
3. The mask was packed generously with its serum and applied some of it on my neck (neck needs some love also) hehe.
4. This is the shocking part, I am not exaggerating but the black spots left by zits on my forehead was really turned into beige. Zapping the zits. I just thought maybe, on the next day after washing off, the black scars will go back. But I am wrong, the mask really enlightens its color! Very very very lovely! Clap-clap-clap!
5. The masks do gave me a supple skin.
6. The mask is fragrantly nice.

Thanks again! This mask is available to Watsons  "Buy 3 Get 1 FREE" promotion till 25 April & Cossy.sg

First Commandment with Promise

OMG! When I was on my high school to college days, me and my parents do not have time to communicate. On teens, I am busy with my barkada and studies (kunwari nagaaral). Lakwatsa dito, aral, alis, practise, etc. My college life, I am really busy climbing way to the top and busy with my religious affair. Actually, minsan di alam nila nanay and tatay na nasa room na ako unless they will see some lights escaping my door. After college, I went for board exam and after passing it, I got job.

Most of my jobs ate all my time, even time for my bf. That was the phase of my life that career, money, and fame at the Bureau came first. Naalala ko pa si nanay, sabi nya, "di ngayon, pero sisingilin ka ng maaga ng katawan mo sa abusong ginagawa mo.". I am sleep-deprived back then.

Now...I am married, and staying here at Singapore, I am really missing them a lot. As I think, I have so many wasted time, sana pala I spent it wisely. Kesa yung ninunuood-nood ko ng TV sa room ko eh nakipagkwentuhan na lng ako sa kanila. Anyways hindi pa huli ang lahat. Hanggat makakagawa ako ng paraan to let them know how much I appreciate all the things they had done to me, lalo na ang strict rules they set sa aming magkakapatid, all the efforts to give us all the best things and all the love that they showered onto us.

I hope this blog will enlighten some of the readers how valuable the parents are. Make them feel  they are important. Make them feel they are special. Spend time with them.

Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; (Ephesians 6:2)
