How wonderful it is that your husband saved and put up a budget for your salon?

My natural hair is wavy and messy and I like it to be permed. For past few years, Abbey always requesting me that he like my hair to be straight.. really straight. As promised, this year, we went to Number76 salon in Orchard Gateway to grant his wish.

I know it will be expensive but Abbey keep on reminding me a yucky procedure I witnessed last time when I accompanied one of colleague at chain of salons in Lucky Plaza. The stylist brushing a man I can still vividly see in my mind huge flakes of dandruff falling out of the head. And the same brush was used to another customer. *Fainting now** Yes! You will get what you pay for. Even the treatments will be expensive, I rather be at Number76.

I let Abbey talked to Jerry(stylist). I never heard how much everything will be but I know that it will be over Abbey’s budget. Unexpectedly, Jerry gave us 20% discount. Yeyyyy!

What are the treatments?
Hair Cut: SGD56-00
Jerry just cut-off my very dry hair. 2inches from the tip.

Rebond: SGD276.00
I thought rebonding will be a tedious procedure. Like I need to sit there for 4hours just to straighten it. As explained by stylist, the new technique only takes one (1) application and will last for an hour and half (inclusive of iron)

Hair Color: SGD165.00
I am shocked that coloring can be done after the rebonding. Usually, it is impossible. Oh well, with Number76 it is possible. Bye gray hairs!

Ultrasonic Iron Treatment: SGD148
this is for Abbey to make sure that my hair will be still lustrous aftet all chemicals applied on my head. Unlike other treatments that need to use a hot oil or red light, this treatment used ultrasonic iron. Another first time of my life! Haha!

For almost a month now sporting this straight, soft and shiny hair, I can say that it is worth of every dollar. Will definitely be back with them Number76!

While browsing the Groupon (Now Fave) webpage, I stumbled upon a very low and reasonable price of Brazilian IPL at Amber Beila. The location is quite near at my office so I bought a package for 6 sessions for only S$80.00

When me and my colleague arrived, as usual, they are introducing another product...pain is lesser and the effect as they claimed is “instant”. We waived that off and go on as per our voucher. 

To my surprise, there’s no cooling agent applied and directly lasered the area. It was painful at first (unlike the Strip). In less than 10mins our first session is over. 

Only on our second meeting, they put a mask on my sensitive area after the laser session. It stayed on for 10mins. It smoothens the skin. 

On 5th session, the attendant is very pushy for me to get another 10 sessions. Frankly, I told her that I am not satisfied with my 6 months of stay there.

Why?

1. The inner part hair didn’t receded. It grew back as normal. The texture seems no difference. 

2. I am not sure if they changed the towels used inside their cubicle for each customer. 

3. In my first time with them, they charged me off $20++ for not shaving off. That is insane amount! 

4. The attendant is kind but they are as I said pretty expressive in selling their products.

It was 3 years ago when Abbey confessed that he is into a big surprise for me. He wanted to buy me lingeries from Victoria's Secret. And he was shocked when he saw the tremendous array of brassieres and panties to choose from. He surrendered that idea immediately and just laughed it out.

My husband doesn't forget. When we went to Magnificent Mile of Chicago, he reminded me to check out Victoria's Secret.

When we entered the store, Nikeisha smilingly greeted us. She asked me about my size and I told her that I am 10B and she looked me into my eye and told me that I better be checked. Haha.

While on our way to their exquisite fitting rooms she handed me a pink card and set of bras to try on. Hesitantly, I told her that cup "C" may be way too big for me. She shook her head and explained me that most of the girls assumes and uses a wrong size of underwear.

To my delight it is more comfortable and well cover my boobs. Nikeisha knocked to my door, and yes she barged in and taught me how to tighten up the strap. She asked me from where I am from, because my body is too slim. Gosh! It feels that I am a child and that was my first time to wear a bra! Hahaha!

After getting the perfect size for me, we roamed around at Victoria's Secret store to get the design I want. I chose nude and black for US$50+ each. Abbey with a lustful smile glanced at me and told me to get what I want and it will be on his tab. Naks!

I ended up buying 2 bras and one perfume. I got a free bag, lotion and lipgloss. :)

Thanks Victoria's Secret for making us look and feel sexy and thank you Nikeisha for treating me not just a customer but a queen. :)

2013 was packed by activities for me and my husband. Sun's harmful rays are everywhere and to enjoy those events, we need to be out and bath with sunlight. Skin is not only the issue here, but of course, the hair also needs protection.

We used Sunplay with spf 130 for our body and face. My hubby and I is not fond of caps or hats so we use our umbrellas as much as we can to lessen the direct hit of light. For added defense on our hair, we always use Paul Mitchell's Sun Recovery Hydrating Shampoo, After-Sun Repleneshing Masque, and Sun Shield Conditioning Spray.

This hair collection really prevents the hair from damage and dryness. It even gives extra brilliance and softness even we were soaked up for whole day on a seawater and sunshine.

Rexona Spray Deodorant Shower Clean For Women

Do you remember the time when a news broke-out that told the people in the cyberworld that primary cause of breast cancer is the anti-perspirant? I will divulge a secret here in my post, haha, I do not use any deodorant for my armpit.  Since when? Since birth I think? My closest friends and of course my family knew that.

Why? I am not comfortable of the sticky feeling, I think roll-ons are unhygienic, and I have this belief that I need to perspire to that area so the toxin from my body will be flushed out. Do I worry about a map of perspiration under my sleeves, well, yes. I perspire a lot in that area and I tried every product that seems to be effective but all failed to the first test. So I stop trying and wear things that will give me less stress!

I wore a red dress last Rejoice's D&D. Yes I want to be a sweat free on that time and remembered that Rexona send me a trial pack for its new spray deodorant . After shower, shake it and sprayed it on, after my make-up, I check if with my fingertips if it is sticky, well, good to say it is not and has no strong smell that will indicate that I used that product. 2 good points. After the party, I am still sweat-free. Why I Bid Goodbye in Purchasing Belle de Jour Power Planner or Acquiring a Free Starbucks Planner

I am a great great fan of planners ever since I set my foot in the corporate world. From that time my boss gave me a Guess planner, I am really hooked up to the help it gave me for my day-to-day life.

Am I addicted to always have this kind of notebook? Yes! I feel so incomplete if I do not have a planner. I can't live without it but mid-year of 2013, I decided to shake off that feeling of emptiness and left my 2013 BDJ planner at home.  

Here are the reasons why I do not buy any planners from now on:
1. I realized that the Starbucks or coffee cafe free planner really costs me a lot of money, yes it is free but for me who is not fan of their coffees, it will take me about a thousand pesos to have that for free.

2. BDJ Planners is a very cute planner and a lot of vouchers inside. I saw the 2013 issue and I am really disappointed. Dati sa Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf and Ace Water Spa bawi mo na yung almost Php600.00 mo. Ngayon, di na ganun kaganda and valuable ang mga vouchers inside. 

3. Planners are so heavy inside my bag, taking it out made a big difference on the weight. Now, I just use the S Note for my doodles or save the links I need to remember in my phone.

4. The ultimate "why" I bid goodbye ay, now that I am already married, its my duty to let my husband know my schedules and vise versa. So instead to buy a pocket planner for him, I went back to my college days where I do not have money to buy those planner and yet need to have an organise myself to finish all my projects before the target date.
From June 2013, we use my own version of calendar. I usually use recycled paper  then use excel to create a table. No fuss, just spend for a small amount of ink in the printer and tadahhhhh! Two persons, in one piece of paper, can see all the events. We can give way to each other and not compromise any schedules.

Maybe this will help the couples out there. 

Oh, this is just above our light switch so we can see all the must-to-do before facing a new day!. :) 

Strip Singapore: Ministry of Waxing - IPL Brazilian @ $58

I tried hot and cold wax and even the soft one for my brazilian and it was my first time to have an IPL down there. 
First time indeed, I don't know the process but I know that they will use a machine that will emits laser.. :) haha! Oh dear, I do not even know that IPL stands for Intensed Pulse Light. 
So the process:
1. They will shave all the hair and they definitely left it bare. OMG, I am quite furious that time, because I know that the hair will grow back 2-3 days once shaved off. 
2. They will put a gel, actually a cooling gel to mimimize the heat that will emit by the machine.
3. The light was applied by the attendant using a wand-like device, its soothing as it warms the cold gel.

The result.
1. 3 days after my session, the hair starts to grow and because it was shaved it made me feel the irritating itchiness. 
2. One week aftet the treatment,  whenever I take a shower, using my gloves to exfoliate the IPLed part, the hair starts to come-off. And now it is bare again.

My anxiety grew and heard the voice of attendant that I will regret that I don't take their 50% off offer for 5 sessions. 

Yeah regret it.. Haha! Anyways, I still have package from other beauty salon for brazilian wax, after that sessions, maybe I will rethink if I should pursue to have some IPL with Strip ;)
